Bill and Joanne Tattersall, Serving Short term in Colombia

Once a year we visit the island and assist Sound Bay Baptist Church, San Luis, San Andres Island, Colombia with whatever projects are on the go.

We have assisted with Vacation Bible School and English vocabulary classes in the past.   In 2009 we worked with
their team off volunteers building and renovating the rear portion of the church. A fresh water cistern, a storage room, bathrooms and the enlargement to the worship area were added and attached to the church.  The Sunday School classrooms were upgraded by painting the walls, adding murals and painting the furniture.

Sound Bay Baptist Church is planning on starting work on repairing and renovating their Sunday School building in January 2010.  Their dream would be to continue with renovations also to the front entrance of the church, expanding it to make more room for the growing congregation, if God makes the finances available.
